Who We Are

VOLTD is an electrical design consultancy based in Glasgow. We engineer complete electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects — and we specialise in the work most designers can't touch: COMPEX-certified hazardous area design under ATEX and DSEAR.

We work with main contractors, architects, and property developers to turn intent into compliant, buildable, fully calculated electrical designs. Every package is designed, verified, and documented to the relevant British Standard before it leaves our desk.

    Survey & Classification

    Site survey and load assessment. For hazardous areas, full zone classification under DSEAR before any design work begins.

    Design & Calculation

    Layouts, schematics, cable sizing, protective device coordination, and lighting calculations. Every number is worked, not assumed.

    Verification

    Design review against BS 7671 and the relevant standards for your sector. Independent verification available on request.

    Documentation

    Full CAD packages, distribution board schedules, and specifications delivered digitally, ready for procurement and build.

  5. 05

    Testing & Handover

    Initial verification, certification, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals. The project closes with a complete record.
